Bulldog Canyon Loop; Goldfield Mountains, October 9, 2017 GPS Map

Last time I tried this hike, the morning turned out to be cloudy. Gray was the only sunrise color. This time the sky was clear. I started from Dome Mountain Trailhead at first light, walked to the top of FR 1356, bushwhacked on up to Blue Ridge, and walked the unmarked road to a good picture spot.

Finished my loop on the Powerline Trail. Direct, but steep in places.

Despite my early start, there was already recreational traffic on Forest Road 10. Then I had the trails to myself except for a garter snake on the Powerline Trail. He got away before I could take a picture.
