Pivot Rock Canyon; Mogollon Rim, September 11, 2018 GPS Map

Last time, some folks were camped right at the trail junction. So instead of walking through their campsite, I went the long way. No one this time. On the trail I did hear voices in the distance, but never saw them.

:)  The air was clear and delightfully cool when I started, and it didn’t get hot.

Starting at the tributary there’s an upper trail and a lower trail. The lower trail stays close to the streambed. You can tell where there’s water, by the abundant insect life. The stream was mostly dry today.

The upper trail, which I took coming back, is above the streambed on the southwest side. In places where the main upper trail dips down to the stream, there’s a faint trail that stays high. I took it, despite some fallen logs.

Tried to find the exact spot where I took a picture of the Pioneer’s Cabin ten years ago, so I could document the changes. The cabin is still there. How will it look ten years from now, in 2028?
