Arizona Trail passage 18; Superior, February 20, 2021 | GPS Map |
My daughter Clara hiked with me today. I’m so glad! We left home at 6:00, hoping to get to Picketpost Trailhead at first light to beat the Saturday crowds, which we did. And catch a colorful sunrise. But there were no clouds today. Phooey. This was the same hike I had done with a former Vice President of the Arizona Trailblazers Hiking Club. Flowers were out then, but it’s too dry now. Also, the air was hazy then but clear now. Clara and I had this part of the Arizona Trail to ourselves. After the hike, we stopped at Nando’s for lunch before driving home. |
