Pass Mountain Loop from Meridian; Goldfields, March 3, 2014 | Trail Map |
By leaving early I got to Meridian Trailhead at sunrise. Saturday’s rain had cleared the air, settled the dust, and left a few little puddles along the Pass Mountain Trail. There was already one hiker's car at Meridian when I arrived, then another one showed up as I was getting ready to go. Met a hundred people at least, but only one organized group. A lady hiking with two companions recognized me. Since they were going the other way, I got out three Goldfield Mountain cards to give them when they passed me again, which they did. Other folks, I told about the scenery at the place where they passed me. |
